paper piecing

This card is a little example of paper piecing. I wanted to make the paper piecing to be simple, so the image to cut out was big. But they got the idea. It is fun to make the dp from the paper piecing match the background paper. I let the girls use my sparkle pen to add some bling to the candle and the decorations on the cupcake.
This birthday cupcake is one of my favorite new stamp sets from the new SU! catalog. I thought this card is was another simple but cute - these work out well for our stamp group b/c they are not time consuming.
