Well Stamping Bella is back on splitcoast.com and I am sooo excited! My bellas are my go to stamps for just about everything! I am catching up on my bellarific friday challenges. This is for bellarific friday challenge #5. The card is for my moms birthday which we celebrated last weekend. My mom and I are kinda coffee nuts! And I LOVER the bellas so this is the perfect image for this card!!!!!!!!!!! The image is stamped in momento bladck ink and colored in with prisma markers. Hope you love it!!!!

Well it has been another super-long weekend here at the homestead! A little less crazy than last weekend - that is for sure! We did run around a lot yesterday for gymnastics, grocery shopping - the usual. But today was a little bit more relaxed. We slept in this morning (the kids slept until 7:30) - that NEVER happens!!!! We had another birthday party this weekend for my little baby cousin Hailee. She turned 2 a few weeks ago. She is soooo adorable! Anyway - she LOVES Minnie Mouse - so of course I had to make her a Minnie Mouse card! The stamp is a clear stamp from Disney that I snagged at Michaels a long time ago. I stamped her with Tuxedo Black Momento ink on SU whisper white paper. I colored her with my prisma markers and then mounted her on a layer of glittery pink paper from a DCWV glitter stack. The card base is SU pretty in pink, and the middle layer is from a Disney princess scrap pack. I added a little glittery bling to Minnie's bow and shoes using doodle bug glitter sugar. Isn't she adorable! Anyway - I did stamp some valentines goodies today as well - but I have to go to bed because the snow is supposed to be coming tomorrow morning during rush hour so I have to leave a little earlier in the morning than usual so I can try and beat the storm.Thanks for visiting!h

One more for the weekend! Little Evan (friends son) had his first birthday party Saturday afternoon. I was searching for the perfect 1st birthday card - but the image I was looking for I couldn't find :0( While searching for "the perfect image" I found the build a bear stamp sets from SU! I used to use them all the time - but haven't pulled them out in a while. I thought they would be perfect for a 1 year old birthday. I stamped the image on SU! whisper white cs in tuxedo black momento ink. I colored the images with my prisma markers. I added a little balloon to the build a bear image. The card base is from a DCWV cs pack from Hobby Lobby (very similar to SU brilliant blue) the DP is also a scrap from DCWV birthday extravaganza pack. I hope you love him!

Well - we had a crazy busy weekend here at our house! Friday night we had a birthday party for DD and DS's friend down the street. I rushed home from work (while stopping to pick up a quick present) and ran DS down for the party. (DD couldn't go -she was grounded - but thats another store altogether!! Saturday morning we had gymnnastics, lunch with my mom at the Bread Company for her birthday and when we got home from there we had another birthday party. What a crazy start to the weekend right! Then today DS had another birthday party for a friend from his class at school - and we picked him up and came home for the superbowl. The monkey birthday card was for today's party. I love this little sock monkey from SU! It was a must have back when it was first released! I am on a kick to use up some scraps from my scrap box - and this birthday dp from DCWV was in there - thought it would be perfect for a little kids birthday! The sock monkey is stamped in tuxedo black momento ink and colored with my prisma markers. The card base is SU tempting turquoise and the sock monkey is framed in SU! certainly celery. I meant to stamp a birthday hat on the monkey but cut the paper too short - so instead I stamped a cupcake in his hand. I added some doodlebug sugar glitter to the icing on the cupcake for some BLING! Cute huh? Hope you love it!H

Who doesn't love this cute little changito monkey?! I think I will always go pull these little guys out when I need to find my MOJO! How cute are these little monkeys!!!!!!!!! I feel completely overwhelmed lately - and haven't been able to find any time to stamp or create - which makes me feel sad and frustrated :0( I have ideas for things in my head - but I never seem to find the time to get them created. I have quite the collection of these little monkeys - and I just love them all! But when I buy them I have the best of intentions - to make the cutest cards and projects. I feel more like a collector these days than a crafter! I plan to change all that immediately! I have cleaned my studio and tried to get organized so when I go down - I can craft and create instead of clean and look for stuff. Anyway - this cute little birthday card was for my FIL's birthday - we went over to have breakfast with them on Saturday before DD's gymnastics class. My MIL makes me so happy when she gets excited about the cards I make for everyone - and she thought this little guys was just adorable on FIL's card! I used the birthday changito monkey stamp, stamped on whisper white cs with black momento ink. The layers are cut with large scallop oval Mauvy punch in whisper white and bliss blue. The DP is from the DCWV birthday extravagaza pack. Everything was layered ontop a base of bliss blue card base.I hope you love it!

Birthday bling

When I saw this new stampendous stamp on their website I knew I had to have it! I don't know how "new" it is - but it was the first time I saw it and I got all excited!! This is the cling cupcake XL - itsn't it the cutest The cupcake was stamped in momento tuxedo black ink on whisper white cs and colored in with my copic markers. The glittery layer under the mail layer is from the DCWV birthday glitter stack. This glittery layer is 1 3/4 inches and layered ontop of a 2 inch wide layer of light aqua paper. All of this was layered ontop of the main layer of SU tempting turquoise. For a little added bling I glued some SU chunky glitter ontop of the icing for the cupcake. The SU chunky glitter was a surprise find when I unvpacked after the flood - but I knew it would be perfect for this card.
Oh BTW - this card was for my DS's 7th birthday. Of coarse he loved it! I tend to migrate to stamps like this that are neutral - and can be used for male or female cards. They are my favoirite!

Ok - I give up! I keep trying to re-save this birthdyay card facing the right direciton but nothing will work! I am just going to post it like this -p sorry if it gives you a headache! This is a birthday card my DS made for his friend's birthday - I thought it was so cute! Can you tell he loves baseball? Any way - the background layer was created with a SU baseball stamp and the mddle section was made with a SU read red background behind it! The sentiment is stamped across the middle and I think he picked it b/c its in cursive (he thought that was cool! Not too shabby for a 7 year old huh?

So I have been doing lots of little crafty things to keep busy over the last few months - but while my computer was down I couldn't blog or anything :0( I wanted to share a few things tonight and try to get caught up with my blog sistahs blogs. This first blog post is another crafty project I have been working on off and on over the summer. Every time I try these little cake pops I get a little better! This all started b/c my DD and I are addicted to cupcake wars on food network! One afternoon after cupcake wars there was a challenge where the contestants were making these little mini cupcake pops - and I thought they looked fun! DD and I made two little "pop" boquets for her girl scout leaders at her bridging ceremony this summer - they were a huge hit! Not only cute but also very tasty! I am so glad to finally be able to share this cute little pic!

I am so sorry for such a long absence! Sometimes I think if it weren't for bad luck I would have no luck at all!!! My laptop has had a virus AGAIN !! My husband has been working on stripping every program off - and reinstalling. Through this process I have larned a lot about protecting my files. I have several anti virus programs that run on my computer daily - but this one somehow got through my firewalls! I have definately learned about back up through this process as well. I have TONS of digital memeories stored as jpg files on my laptop - which date back to when I first went digital back in 2005 when my son was just a baby. I was so afraid I was going to lose all my pics! As a scrapbooker - this is terrifiying! I have now purchaswed an external hard drive and have been trying to move all my digital files over to this hard drive - so if my computer completely crashes - I won't lose my kids childhood memories!

I have no cards to post today but I do have a question for my blog friends out there! How do you back up your digital memories? Any scrapbookers out there want to comment and help me out? Is my external drive the best answer? Or is there a better solution?

quilling?

I stopped by the archievers craft store on my lunch hour last week - needed to browse for fun and let my brain relas a little from a CRAZY week! They were having a little demo using quilling - which aparantly was in before and is in again! We made this mini card using the quilling technique - and it was super fun! I have never used this technique before but did buy some quilling supplies - so I hope to be using my new supplies to make some fabulous cards very soon!!!

Does it feel like I make a lot of birthday cards for kids!!!! I feel like that is mostly what I get to make - I think that is why I like the cutsey images over floral stuff - easier for what I spend my time making :0)
Last weekend we went to our friends daughter's 3rd birthday party. She is growing soooo fast I can't even believe it! I grabbed this image right away for her card! The image is stamped in tuxedo black momento ink and colored with my prisma markers. The image layer is mounted on a layer of sahara sand cs from SU and then layered ontop of the card base with is certainly celery with a small layer of pink polka dot dp from DCWV. Both the image and sentiment are from Stamping Bella.

Mickey Mouse birthday

Happy Birthday Dominic! We had a birthday party last weekend to go to for little Dominic. He turned 1! Since the whole family loves Disney - and the favorite cartoon for Dominic and his brother Tanner is Mickey Mouse clubhouse I decided to make his birthday card using a Mickey Mouse stamp from my Disney stamp set that I purchased at Michaels a LONNNNNNG time agao. I don't have the carton they came in - so I am not even sure who makes them! ANy way - the cs is real red with a layer of yo yo yellow from SU! The DP is from a Disney pack from Hobby Lobby - I bought the paper pack while working on my Disney album in the spring - and now have extra papers to use for all papercrafts! Mickey is holding a cupcake - stamped from a set of birthday stamps from Hero Arts. Both images are stamped in momento tuxedo black ink and colored with my prisma markers. I also added a little bling to the cupcake icing using doodlebug sugar coatings in red. They give the cupcake a little pop! THe cupcake was cut out and mounted on Mickey's hand using dimensionals.

I made this card for my hubby (I jokingly call him schmoopy) for father's day. I have a ton of the changito monkey stamps and I have always loved this one! I always think it would be perfect for a father's day card - but when father's day rolls around I forget to pull it out! The image is stamped in momento tuxedo black ink just like the popcorn image below and colored in with my prisma markers on SU! whisper white cs. The cs layers are also cut with the cricut storybook cartridge. Layer one is SU! whisper white - and layer 2 is SU! bliss blue.

Father's Day cards

I was deleting some pics from my phone yesterday and came across these little father's day cuties! I realized that these have never been uploaded to my blog> I swear we are running around crazy every day - and some days I come and mean to b log some pics of cards - and get sidetracked. Then once the thought is gone - I kinda forget about it!

Anyway - this is the father's day card the kids and I created for my father in law. The stamp is popcorn the bear-isn't he cute!!!!??
The card base is basic blue from a texture pack from Hobby Lobby (DCWV). I am really loving the look of the textured CS for bacdgrounds and accents on my cards lately! The image is stamped in momento tuxedo black inkand colored with my prisma markers. This image is on SU! whisper layer of cs which was punched out in a scallop circle from my cricut (story book cartride) and then layered ontop of a layer of SU! bliss blue cs that was cut 2 sizes bigger in the cricut. They are both layered ontop of an old SU DP scrap and then mounted on the card base.

TUIC challenge

This month's challenge for our TUIC group is for us to use a paper sample that Monica from Gardners Basket sent us in the mail. No rules - just use the paper sample/samples. The yellow flowery DP that she sent in my envelope really made me smile! It made me feel all sunshiney (is that a word?) I reached for this new stampset from Stampendous. It goes perfectly with the flowery yellow DP paper! The card base is actually a yellow SU cs-but I put a textured greem garden cs from DCWV ontop - then layered it with the flowery DP that Monica sent. Then I stamped the image on whisper white SU cs and colored them in with my prisma markers. I have a sentiment that is from Stamping Bella
that reads "sending you sunshine" and as soon as I find it (he he!) I will be staming it on the front of the card and sending it to my friend who needs a little cheering up!!!
Anyway - thanks Monica for the challenge! And I hope you love my sunshine card!

Happy birthday Kim!

My family and friends all know how much of a coffee addict I am - so when I was shopping with a friend at an archievers on my lunch break last week - we both laughed out loud when we saw this cute little stamp! I had to have it!!! This little cutie is from Stamping Bella. The archievers here in St Louis is now stocking several stamping bella stamp sets - which I have been a big fan of for years!

Card details - the image is stamped in momento tuxedo ink on SU whisper white cs, and colored with my prisma markers. The image layer is mounted on SU! perfect plum cs with a layer of DCWV stipes, and then mounted on a cs base of perrfect plum. Hope you love it!

Side note - the carpet cleaners came late yesterday to clean the carpets from our massive flood in February. We can now put my scrap n stamp room back together!!!! I am so excited! Tom morning we are moving all my stuff back into my office and re-assemling my desk! I can't wait to unpack all my stuff and find all my missing stamps and paper that I haven't been able to find since FEB!

Tiffany's Wedding

After the graduation story from below - we left Columbia (an hour later than we wanted) and we were driving back to St Louis in a hurry to make it to the wedding reception. We were doing good - then the kids said they were hungry :0) They are always hungry! We stopped at McDonalds and grabbed a couple happy meals and were back on the highway. Since we were running a little late my mom and dad were going to meet us at the reception to pick up the kids for us. That should save us some time! We were getting close and darling daughter tells me that she doesn't feel so good. Then she got sick! I think she was carsick (especially after eating) Oh - and I forgot to mention we driving my hubby's new car! What a weekend - we skipped the wedding reception and went home to shower and clean the car. I did give Tiffany (my friend from work) her card w/ gift card inside on Tuesday when she came back to work.

Card details - the cs is SU! perfect plum and the wedding cake is a piece of whisper white cs run through the sizzix with an embossing folder - and then used the cricut to cut out a wedding cake. The dp is Heidi Grace - and its very blingy!! Tiffany's colors for her wedding were a deep purple - so I tried to pick colors that would match. I thought the cake needed a little decoration - so I added some purple hearts just for fun!

I don't know if you noticed that my cards lately don't have too much stamping - that is b/c my office downstairs is still under construction - but the carpets get cleaned next week - and I hope to be able to put my office back together and get back to "stamping" instead of just papercrafting! Until then I will keep muttling through! Can you believe that the flood was valentines weekend - and we are stil trying to get everything back to normal? My heart goes out to those families whos houses have been destroyed by the recent tornadoes here in the midwest - b/c I can't even imaging dealing with all of that! This was enough stress for my to deal with!

A graduation and a wedding!

Anyone remember the movie two weddings and a funeral? Well last weekend my weekend felt a little like that movie! We had my nephews graduation in Columbia (a 2 hour drive from here) and then later that night we had a wedding reception back here in the Lou. We made the drive to Columbia - sat at the graduaiton party with family and had a very late lunch with my darling nephew - he was only 3 or 4 when my hubby and I got married - he was our ring barrer. It is funny to look at him now - he is over 6 foot tall and graduating! Wow how time flies!!!!!! Anyway - this was the card I put together for his graduation party. (PS - my stamp room is still under consturction from the flood - so I am having having a very hard time fining anything. ) This card was easy to create - I grabbed a piece of graduation dp out my scrapbook bag - cut it to the right size, and quickly cut out a grad hat from my locker talk cricut cartridge. Cute - but easy! Of coarse putting a check in it for the grad was probably his favorite - but his mom (my SIL) thought the card was the coolest part of the gift!)

Ok - well I have had some more technical issues - seems that the new ipod software that I uploaded when DD got her Ipod touch for her birthday did not like something in my laptop - believed to be a picture software program that I didn't even know I had! Anyway - finally got my laptop back this week and was reloading software that had been stripped from the system to fix my problems - and then I went to blog and blogger has been down! I just don't think I was meant to blog this week! Well - here is the birthday invite we made and sent out for DD's birthday slumber party. Cute huh? DD loves anything that has cupcakes on it! I have to say that I LOVE cupcakes too - so I wonder where she gets it!?
The CS is from Hobby Lobby - one of the DCWV cs packs of textured cs - and the polka dot DP is also from a DCWV pack of paper - I think girly girls? The floral DP is a piece from one of my blog sistahs. I am not sure if it is SU! or another - I already ripped the label off when I opened the package. :0) Oops! Sorry!
The cupcake of coarse has some bling - we covered the cupcake top with a glue pen and springled it with SU! Dazzling Diamonds.

PS - the slumber party was a big hit! We made homemade personal pizzas for dinner and then after dinner played the Wii "Lets Dance" game and got manicures and pedicures! A great party for the girls - they all had a great time!

The custest valentines boxes

These are pics of the cutest valentines boxes ever made! Ha ha! Anyway - my kids love to wrap their valentines boxes in aluminum foil - and usually we decorate with stickers and stuff - but this year we used the cricut to cut letters for their names and the kids punched out a ton of different colored hearts using all the differnt sized punches in my stamp room. They also both love the StampinUp! build a bear with the sizzix- so they each used that on their decorations too. They are so lucky to have such a creative mom - right?! Or at least soooo lucky to have a mom with such great stamping "toys" as they call them!

I was cleaning up some files of pics on my phone - and I found these valentines photos - I had forgotten about them because unfortunatley this was the weekend of our big flood - and I haven't been posting much since then. I just thought I would share these pics. I thought they tuned out so cute! The valentines "pockets" are actually just a long 8 1/2 x 4 piece of cs folded in half - and the cute little image stamped on top were cut to fit in the opening - I have seen similar "treat holders" while blog surfing, but can't remember where. DS loves this little monkey stamp - so I made his valentines with this little monkey and an SU! heart stamp. Both valentines had a pack of valentines mini M&M's and a valentines pencil stapled inside. DD's valentines were stamped with pink cs as the background-and DS's were the ones shown in red. TUIC APRIL CHALLENGE

Good morning! I am so excited to be one of the lucky hostesses for this months TUIC challenge. Last month we had a saying as our insppiration for the challenge and I thought that was a great idea b/c it led to so many creative ideas from our whoe group-so Dawn I hope you don't mind but I am borrowing your idea. :0). Our inspirational saying for this month is April showers (or as I remember it-April showers bring May flowers). This challenge will run ubtil May 2nd. TUIC march Challenge

I have tried 6 times to resave this image upright - and I keep rotating and saving it-and then when its uploaded to blogger it is still turned on its side. I am tired - so I am giving up. This card is for the latest TUIC challenge on Dawns Blog Sunny Side UP The challenge was to use the saying In like a lion - out like a lamb - this is my creation. The background paper paper is from Heidi Grace ( a gift from a TUIC friend) and there is no staming on the front b/c I can't find where I moved my stamnp pads for the drywall workers to get working in my office! So these are images cut w my cricut from the cartridge Animal Kingdom. The lamb is supposed to be me! I have put some doodlebug flock on her - but you can;t see it in the pic. We were supposed to use ribbon in a creative way, but couldn't think of anything creative - so I am using it like a paper layer to accent the colors in the DP. I hope you love it!

Recovery at last!

I am so sorry for being missing for so long-but those of you who know my sob storry will understand. I spent the weekend priming and painting the new dry wall in my dining room and stamp room/office in the basement. We still have to get new floors installed in both the rooms - but we are well on our way to recovering from this nightmare! Hopefully our house will be back to normal before much longer - I may need a vacation to recover from this! I have not been able to stamp or scrap in so long b/c all my supplies have been packed up to clean up my flood mess in the house. We did have 2 birthday parties for the kids to go to last weekend - so I pulled out a scrap pack of paper from a box, and a monkey stamp that was packed in the top drawer of my desk -and created these 2 quick birthday cards. The first was for my brother's girl friend's son whose birthday party was saturday. He is turning 4, and the second is for our good friends son who was turning 6. Not much stamping on either card - but cool paper from my DCWV scrap pack for BOYS.

I hope to be back to stamping regularly soon - the drywall in my office is done - I am just waitong on the new carpet - and then I can move evreything back out of the boxes - and get back to stamping!

altered notebook

The next TUIC challenges have been up for a week or two now - I have finished the first challenge, and hope to have the next finished tonight? Depends on my household drama - which there seems to be a lot of lately! Enough about my crazy house - This cute little notebook is for my TUIC friend Christy' challenge HERE
The challenge is to alter a notebook - and add a spring touch to it. I have altered my notebook (this will be for my DD Savannah - she loves to write in her "journal")my thoughts were to use my Cricut and personilize it by putting her name on it. I had already had the journal with DP done, but since my stamp room is a little flooded right now - I haven't been able to cut out her name. I will do that after this flood mess is cleaned up! Anyway - I wanted to get this post up - so I can link it to the challenge - so it will have to go in without the cute yellow name and sunshine I was going to cut out for the cover - we will just have to use our imagination and pretend it is on there. Savannah also loves flip flops - which would be fun to cut out and put on the journal for her/ or some cute little sunglasses. I will finish it before I give it to her - but this will have to do for the challenge :0(

The DP is from a glitter stack from DCWV - and the notebook is originally from the dollar store. We made lots of these little notebooks at a scrapbook weekend I went on with some friends - but since my bind it machine is at my friend Jaime's I just re-covered this one, and its perfect! Birthday Fun!

Tom is my baby brother's birthday. Happy Birthday Super Dave!!!!!!
Tonight we got together at the local pizza joint - Fortels Pizza - My brother's favorite. I got him a gag gift, and this is the b-day card I made for him. This is an old favorite SU! stamp set of mine - Loads of Love. I haven't used it much in a long time, but pulled it out while unmounting many of my stamp sets, and it is fun to make birthday cards with - especially for boys. My brother doesn't drive a pic up truck any more - with 3 kids he definately needs something bigger so he is driving a little mini SUV now - but he used to drive a pick up truck and this set always reminds me of him, and my hubby. Both were pick up guys! Anyway - the CS is SU! Taken with Teal and Certainly Celery. The truck is stamped in momento black tuxedo ink and oolored with my Prisma markers. I couldn't find the loads of birthday presents stamp that goes with this set so I just stamped an enormous present in the back - I thought it was funny!

TUIC challenge #2 - card

And this is the card that was created with the color inspiration from my fabulous sketchers shown below. I am so excited to have been able to participate in these TUIC challenges - I have had thoughts for them in my mind, just finding the time for creating them was so hard this month - the kids have had almost 2 weeks of consecutive snow days this month - so trying to work, and keep them entertained, and keep my sanity has been super difficlt - so no stamping or creative time for me :0(
My mom's birthday is this week, and we all met at her favorite restraunt/bakery today for brunch/lunch to celebrate. There was my mom and dad, then Jeff and I with our two beautiful kids, and my brother with his three kids - along with his new girlfriend with her 3 kids, so a total of 12 - needless to say brunch was a little bit of chaos - but the kids all did great! Any way - this was the card that I made to put with her bag of birthday goodies from my family.

The CS is SU melon mombo (an in color from last year - I think) with basic black and whisper white. The circles were punched with my giga cirls punches, and layered on top of the designer paper which is also a retired SU paper from my scraps basket. The stamp is also SU's giant cupcake - stamped in momento black ink and colored with my prisma markers. I don't think the picture shows off the bling very well, but the cupcake icing is very sparkly -cover in SU dazzling diamonds, and the cupcake paper was paper pieced with another scap of the retired DP from SU!

OMG - I have completed both TUIC challenges for this month, at the last possible minute! They are both due by tom. I have been a total procrastinator this month - but hope things will get better for the next challenges! This second TUIC challenge was issued by Molly from MISS MOLLY CREATIONS

Our challenge was to use a picture of a favorite christmas gift received as our inspiration - so I used this pic of my new Sketchers Shape ups as a color inspiraiton for my card - shown above. I love the Bright pink/black colors on the shoes - and thought they would be a great color combo for a card.

I am happily posting this popcorn birthday card this morning. I am climbing the walls here with all the freaking snow!!!!!!!!!!! ANyway - keeping the kids busy has been our main focus - since they fight when they get bored. But I did sneak away last night to stamp this little cutie. As you may have noticed - I LOVE these popcorn the bear stamps! These little guys are hard to find here in the states - but I get mine from my friend Julie - she has a website SCRAPBOOKSTOREATYOURDOOR.COM that has tons of these cuties! Anyway - I have created this card for my TUIC friend Danie's challenge over at her blog D Dazzled Designs
The link says it was expired to enter my link - but I was told it goes until Monday - since I am a last minute kind of girl - this is my entry. Her challenge was to use Green and gold - I do not have any gold CS at the moment - but that cute little duckie is colored yo yo yellow - so that will have to count for something!

The stamp set is popcorn the bear - celebrate, and it is stamped in momento tuxedo black ink and colored with my prisma markers. The cs colors that I had to use were SU certainly celery, tempting turquoise, and wisper white.

We also had a 1st birthday party for my little cousin Hailee on Saturday afternoon. She is so cute! Of course she loved playing with all the paper and tissue paper instead of the presents! Anyway - she of coarse had a great time and it was great to be there and see her reactions to the cake icing presents and everything!

My CS is stamping Up! pink pirroette (sp?) and Whisper White. The image is stamped in Momento black ink, and colored with my prisma markers. I also colorted a layer on the little rhino with a dark pink copic sticka glitter pen for some bling.

I forgot - I punched the scallop circles out with my Marvey giga punches, and the DP us an old SU! DP scrap.

Ok - I know I use this guy alot - but I just love him sooooo much! I have about 25 of the popcorn stamps - but have used this one the most! I just love the balloons and all the possibilites of colors for them. We went to a baby baptism on Saturnday night for "Baby Ryan" I thought this cute little guy would be perfect for a congratulations card!

The CS is stampin UP! Sahara sand, and whisper white - and the image was stamped in Momento Black ink and colored with my prisma markers.

I was so excited to finally find a "coffee cup" cartridge for my cricut. It really isn't supposed to be a coffee cup - I think its for hot chocolate - but Whatever! I found what I was looking for at the end of the summer - but never finished my sign - isn't this cute!? I have a coffee themed kitchen - and we have these HUGE coffee cups on top of the cabinets (they are really meant to be planters) and a few little coffee pictures here and there. I wanted to make a cute little sign to hang above the pantry for my bistro. My last name is Boulicault - that is the reason for the name on the sign. Anyway - thought I would share my little accomplishment. I was cleaning up in my "office" as the kids call my stamp/scrap room - and I uncovered this project that was almost finished. I put everything together and finished it up!
I am going on a scrapbooking weekend trip - getting ready to walk out the door - and that is why I was "cleaning up". I cant believe I forgot about my little Bistro sign - but it was covered up with some paper scraps - so I guess out of sight - out of mind?

A Popcorn Birthday

I am quite relieved to finally be posting the pic - because I really do use my popcorn stamps for a TON of cards, but half of them don't get a picture taken before they get sent out. :0(

Operation Write Home

My daughters brownie troop (#95) asked me before thanksgiving to possibly help with an Operation Write Home project to earn a badge for their girls. So before Thanksgiving I sent some card kits to the troop leader to have the girls stamp and color for sending in a care package for the troops. The TUIC christmas card below is one of the cards that the girls made for the care package - and then the valentines card above they also made. Super cute huh?
The stamp is SU - a valentines special from a year or two ago - but I don't know the name? I am so bad about saving the names when I unmounted these - some names I wrote with the stamps - others I didn't. I do think its Happy Heart Day - but not sure!
The cute little mouse image was colored with my prisma markers - and the DP is from an SU! stash of retired papers.

TUIC swap card

It has been so long since I posted anything!!! I have been stamping, just not getting on my laptop much - so nothing has been uploaded or anything. Let me start by apologizing to my blog sisters. So sorry girls - but my family does come first and the holidays are about family right?
We were getting ready for Thanksgiving (and christmas that we celebrate w/ my nieces and nephews from out of town). So I had to get ready for the meal - which was my first time cooking a turkey and then also get the christmas decorations up, presents bought and - whew!! - very stressful! All that is behind me now - but I am trying to get ready for christmas, get the christmas cards out, and keep my samity - so I tend to veg out at night after getting the kids homework and baths and bedtime done!

Wa! Wa! Enough whining! This is the christmas card I made for the TUIC swap - I also made a cute little snowman tag - but I haven't found the pic yet. I will post it when I find it - sorry!
Anyway - the card is bliss blue (SU) and then the layer on top of that is WW by SU that was run through the big shot with a snow flake embossing folder. I used my new cartridges for the Cricut "story book" to cut some scallop ovals out of the previously listed cs and stamped my favorite snowflake image to color. It is an old SU snowman stamp I think its "Jolly Holiday?"
Any - cute huh?

Another Popcorn the Bear!!!!!!!! Love him!!! He is football bear - you know like european football. DS had his last soccer game last weekend, and I made this card for his coach Allison. I am so excited to have this new stamp set - and to color it. He is the most fun to color - and I have a whole little collection/obsession going on with these stamps. They are all so cute - I just keep buying them :0)
I am working on finishing up some swap cards and stuff for my TUIC friends, and creating some wedding invitation samples for my friend Tiffany at work - so another busy weekend. Also - tom. is the last football game DD has to cheer at (all day) so I am excited to get my saturdays back! I can't wait to lock myself in my "office" and stamp and scrap the day away.

Punta Mita Mexico!

Sorry for being missing for so long! Here is a pic from our recent trip to Mexico. The reason for being MIA was the arrival of our ticket and reservation pack for our Mexico trip from DH's work. I knew about the trip - but put it in the back of my mind b/c we have been crazy busy her w/ the kids and everything, and I wasn't sure we were going. Tickets arrived - we made arrangements for the kids - and off we went!

It is a happy Thursday!!!!!! It was our month end closing this week at work - but today is a happy Thursday b/c its over :0) I am sorry to not have posted earlier this week - but my brain has been on overload!
Anyway - my dad's birthday was last weekend - and we had a little dinner for him. The kids picked out a cardinals jersey for him (cause you know we love the cardinals!) and this is the card we made him. My dad is a golf junkie - so we thought it was funny!
This is the changito sports monkey - I LOVE him! Almost as much as I love my popcorn the bear stamps! Anyway - I think he is adorable!

First Day of School

OK - just a quick post - first day of school pics! First day of school was this Wednesday (right after we got back from our vacation) I took the day off work - b/c I knew I would be a little emotional. This was my baby's first day of kindergarten! I thought it was rough when I sent my daughter off to kindergarten 3 years ago - this was even harder! He did great - and then after the bus pulled away I cried like a big baby!!!!!

Yes - I know this is a duck, not a bear! But this is Popcorn the bear's little duckie friend. If he has a name - I don't know it yet :0)
Anyway - I have been crazy busy trying to catch up from our vacation. I seem to have lost my stamping mojo! Yesterday my friend Julie who owns and runs scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com had an all day crop here in town. You know I had to go! Julie is Copic certified - and was teaching a class at the crop. I can't afford Copics yet - but maybe someday
:0) This is the card we made while taking the Copic class. She taught us a few coloring techniques and blening techniques with various colors. She is fabulous!!!! She is also now stocking all the Popcorn the Bear stamps-even those that were just released at CHA. Of coarse I had to buy almost all of them! They are so fun to color!!!!!!!!! I will have to get cracking on my stamp storage solution for the SU! stamps I have started to unmount b/c now I have all these Popcorn stamps to store!

Not to brag - but not bad for my first Copic coloring huh? Julie has a Copic club - I hope to be able to join in when I can afford them - until then I will have to keep coloring away with my Prisma markers :0)

Ok - another birthday card. I feel like that is all I make these days! Not that its bad - just feeling a little heavy on the birthday cards! This little cutie is from Stampendous. I saw her while browsing Archievers on my lunch break last week and just thought she was tooooooo cute! When it came time to make a quick birthday card on Saturday - I thought she would be perfect - she even looks a little like the birthday girl with her little pig tails and cute little sunglasses!
The cs is the last of my "in color" pinks. I don't know what I will do now!!!! I also used some polka dot dp from DCWS (I think). The image is stamped in tuxedo black momento ink and colored with my prisma markers.

OK - I have always loved this little changito monkey stamps! I would see them in galleries and on blogs - and loved them all! I always felt like I couldn't buy them while I was an SU! demo b/c all my extra $ went back into SU products for paries or stamp clubss. But since I am free of all that - I had to buy a few! This one is sports monkey. Isn't he adorable?!
He came with all kinds of sports accesories-soccer ball, football, golf ball, and all the others! I thought it would be cute for cards of all sorts - and the kids scrapbook pages. I think this liitle monkey bay be my new obsession - because I love all the ones I sse and want them all!!!!!!!!!

This is a birthday card for my nephew who is a baseball nut! I hope he will love it!

The image is stamped with mememto ink and colored with my prisma markers. The baseball and glove are also images that came with the monkey - and they are cut and coried and popped up with dimensionals.

PS - sorry to have been missing for so long - things are a little crazy around here!
The kids have kept us running almost every night for the last 2 weekss.
Plus - I have decided to unmount all my SU! stamps b/c I think it will make storage a lot easier, and I hope to be able to find what I am looking for a lot easier :0)

I had a few card bases I was playing with already put together so I put tinkerbella on one of those bases to make a quick birthday card today for a birthday party for DD's friend. I LOVE Tinkerbella! She is a fav of mine. Her image is stamped in black Staz On, and colored with my prisma markers! Anyway - the gatefold is a new fav of mine to play with since we had it as a challenge for ERPOM. It is fun to make cards that look different then the standard!

Our new blogging group is Tangled up in Creativity. We have merged a few groups together. Our 2nd challenge(issued by Paige)-we are to use Red White and Blue. It doesn't have to be a patriotic card - just using these colors. We have a fireworks party next Sunday at our "old"neighbors house - they have a huge party every year - and a fantastic fireworks display! Anyway - this is for them (I will leave it on the fridge - hopefully they will find it the next day!)
Not too much stamping - but I had a hard time finding a darker blue cs. The sentiment is SU! and I used the SU star punch to punch out a border. The polka dot ribbon is from my stash - probably from Mike's.

Sorry girls! I didn't know we were still doing the ERPOM challenges - since we had merged. Not surprising - I am easily confused :0)

Here we go - have you ever gone to make the perfect card for that someone special - but your card doesn't turn out just right? Are you missing the perfect accent? Or paper? Well then we just have to get creative and make our own! I love to make my own DP - back in the day when I didn't have piles of DP this is exactly what I did. I used my small stamps to make a background paper so I could have "the perfect" background.

My challenge to the group is to create your own Designer paper (DP).

This challenge will run until the 26th (Saturday). The challenge is open to anyone that wants to play along - I have a special prize for any member of ERPOM. For anyone else that wants to play along - I have a little something special for you too - just post me a link to your creation so I can see it. We had a baby shower this weekend for my friend Suzy. We wanted to surprise her - but of coarse she figured it out! They are expecting a baby boy in September. This was the card I made to put with her gift. I was up next for the ERPOM challenge host - this card was going to be my sample. I guess I will have to wait until next challenge in our new group - tangled up in creativety (TUC).
The colors are a favorite combo - light blue and brown. My choices were Bliss blue and soft suede. The image is colored with my prisma markers.

ERPOM challenge #7

The latest ERPOM challenge is to create a monochromatic card. I like the idea of this - but it is harder than you think to create a card using all the same colors. My friend Jaime's birthday is Saturday - so I am sending this to her for her birthday.
The cupcake stamp is from SU! and the base cardstock is pink pirroette (?) The DP is also from SU! and the stamp is stamped in black staz on and colored in with my prisma markers. I also embossed some dazzling diamonds dust on the icing to give it some bling!

I have been running non-stop with the kids and my new job schedule - I feel like I can't catch a break! About 2 or 3 weeks ago - right before school got out we had a birthday party for my dd at the local rollerskate arena. I had been making these thank you's to send out - and never got them finished. TaDa!!!!! I finally finished them!

ERPOM challenge #6

ERPOM challenge #6 is to create a card inspired by a movie. I am a big Sex and the City fan - so of coarse I wanted to go to the new release of Sex and the City 2 Opening this weekend. My mom and I both really needed a break - so we scheduled a girls day - movie and shipping at the local outlet mall! This really cheered us both up! I wanted to make her a little thank you note to send for getting me out of the house - so I created this little cutie! Of coarse my fav drink is a cosmo - and what better symbol of Carrie Bradshaw and the girls then the perfect cosmo drink! My mom will get a kick out of getting this in the mail. The card is simple - cosmo drink stamp is from Stamping Bella and the cardstock and dp are from my collection of unknowns! The cosmo is colored with a pink prisma marker - and then blinged up with some metallic pink embossing powder and some rhinestones to cover the olives.

He is one of the images I keep coloring for my therepy! He just makes me smile every time I color him in! The image is stamped in black Stazon ink and colored with my prisma marker (which I LOVE!)

I have more to post that I have managed to turn into cards - but I begin a 12 hour shirft tom. I am not looking for sympathy - just another reason my cards aren't getting done on a regular basis anymore :0)

I apologize to my stampng sisters, and my friends who follow along to read my chatter and see what I have been able to create after the kids are finally in bed every night. I have been struggling these last few weeks with a few personally issues - and I am slowly pulling through. I do think that stamping and coloring has been my greatest therepy process - but it stopped there. I have all these images that have been stamped and colored, but then put into a little box - and never turned into a card yet!
I do have some things I habve been working on - but one is a surprise for a friend so I don't want to post that just yet.

Hang in there with me - I am on the mend and posting a few cards as we speak!

Our latest challenge on ERPOM was to create a card with the image on the inside - and a window peeking through. This is my card for the challenge. It uses a favorite color combo- brown and light blue - the exact colors are soft suede and bashful blue from SU! The image is A New Little Someone from SU! and the ribbon is from Michaels. The image is colored with my prisma markers.

Mother's Day Baskets

The kids and I made these little baskets from one sheet CS each! We made one for my mom, one for Grandma Fish, and one for my MIL - I thought they turned out so cute. I got the pattern and directions from Stamp Tv - and they were so easy and fun! I also made some for the kids teachers at school for teacher appreciation week last week. They are filled with Dove chocolates - YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Challenge #3 - 2nd card

ERPOM challenge #3 was a sketch challenge - but you were to create 2 different cards using the sketch for inspiration. My DD's birthday is coming up this weekend - so we made these birthday invitaions for her birthday party at the skate rink to pass out this weekend.

I love using DP that is just perfect for the personalities of the giver - or recipients of the card. I think these cute little pink papers are perfect match for my DD's personality. These are loud - but cute and girly - I think these are perfect for her!

EPROM challenge #3

I missed the deadline for the EPROM challenge #3 - it was a sketch challenge. I had created these 2 versions of the sketch to submit - but then never got them posted. I love sketch challenges when they are "outside" the normal standard open card. My first card followed the sketch pretty much right on - It is my mom's mother's day card. I loved the little changito monkey - and he/she is holding cups of coffee which I LOVE!!! My mom and I are both a little coffee crazy - so I knew this was perfect for her! Isn't she adorable! I colored the image with my prisma markers, and put the polka dots on her jammies with silver and white gel pens.

this is a pic of Grandma K in the fall - before we found out the cancer was back. She is sitting with my babies on the couch - she was so happy to see them when they came to visit!
She was an absolutely amazing woman - loved by many. She will be dearly missed.

Ok - my stamping friends with Eyelettes Paper and Ribbon Oh My (EPROM) have another challenge for our group. We were to use a ribbon as inspiration for our card. I am a procrastinator (?) so of coarse I waited until the last minute to work on my card :0). I picked this purple and pink ribbon b/c my daughter "had to have it" and I know it has been sitting in my drawer for over a year - unused! I wanted to make a card to send in her lunch box tom. for a surprise - so I had to use her ribbon! Anyway - ribbon is from Mike's and stamp sets are from SU! Colors are my fav's pixie pink and lavander lace.

monkey birthday

I have always loved these little changito monkey stamps, but talk myself out of buying them all the time b/c I have so much stuff in my stamp room that I struggle just to find what I am looking for when I go down to make anything. I couldn't resist this little guy though, when I saw him at Michaels a while back I had to get him. Birthday stamps get the most use from me - so that is how I justified the purchase :0)
Anyway - I knew my friend's daughter would be having her birthday this month - and we call her Monkey - so I had to buy it just to use for that! I have made this card in a few different colors to use for other birthdays too (that made me feel better about the purchase anyway).
Isn't that monkey just too cute! Anyway - I have to go get the kids up for school - HAPPY MONDAY!!

1. I am a stamping addict - there I am not afraid to say it outloud!

3. I not only love to stamp - but scrapbook when I get a chance
4. I am still scrapbooking pics from when my kids were only 2 - they are 5 and 7 now!
5. I am a scrapper and stamper by heart - but a boring accounting clerk by trade :0)
6. I am a boring accounting clerk to make $ - but I actually have a bachelors degree in education.

8. In college I always wanted to be "artsy", but didn't really have any artistic talent (I just liked coloring to relax) I am pretty sure that is why I love stamping
9. I am a food network addict - and someday hope to learn to cook like an iron chef!
10. I hate doing laundry!

Blog group recycling challenge

Jenn at Jax Beanstalks (in my blog list to the right) posted our first challenge for our blogging group. I thought I missed the deadline, but wanted to participate erven if I missed out on the prize. The recyclying challenge was to create something crafty while recycling an everyday product in our homes. While Savannah (and me!) sold a ton of girl scout cookies in Feb and delivered them in March - I had a large amount of case boxes left after all the cookies were delivered. I already recycled some to hold stuff in the work room downstairs (for storage and stuff) but these ThinMint boxes were already the perfect size to hold 12 x 12 paper I just wanted to make them a little cuter!

Ta Da! This is the finished products - I originally put some handmade flowers on the sides (to cover the staple marks) but I didn't like the look - so I changed it and put some of my favorite Build A Bears!

Happy Birthday William

Today was William's birthday party at McDonalds - the kids love playing at the playland - so this birthday party was right up their alley! I made this birthday card with William in mind last weekend. I seem to struggle with masculine cards, I don't know why - I guess b/c the colors are a little out of my comfort zone? I don't know? I also made this card for our STLsplitcoast group meeting last weekend -but that will have to be in a later post. Anyway this card was perfect for a 5 year old boys birthday!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Baby Haylee!

My cousin Julia had a little darling baby last month - I was lucky enough to be able to be at the hospital with her when she was born! She was so tiny and beautiful!!!!
It is a whole different experience to be there in support when a baby is born - verses being in labor! Anyway I was blessed enough to be there to see her be born - but the kids have only seen pics from the hospital and a few more pics through email. They were "DYING to see her" according to my dramatic DD! Well we went to see her last weekend and take all kinds of goodies over. This is the card we made to take with all the baby goodies. It is using pretty in pink cs - very appropriate for this little darling.l The DP is purple and pink polka dots - from some various paper pack. Also the stamp sets used were A new little someone (retired SU) and also Bundled in Love from SU. I love the scallop circles - and this is a common card design I use for various occasions because its cute and easy!

These are the valentines I made for the kids to take to school - They are fun and pretty easy - I got the idea from my stampin sistah's website -Thanks Rochelle! http://impressionsbyrochelle.blogspot.com/ - this is the link to her blog and directions.
The stamp is from the valentines special from SU last year - but I love it and use it for all my mushy - valentines stuff every year! I made different colors for each kid to take - DD's had a purple background, and DS's had a blue/gray backgound.

As I am reading my blog update - I see that I am having the same issues that I have been having for months - I think I am posting in a hurry - and then realize later that I have saved the post, instead of actually posting it!? I seem to do this a lot when I am typing in a hurry!

Anyway - this is another card that Jaime and I made at stamp club for valentines. This was actually the card I gave my DH (my Schoope!)The stamp is kissy face from the stamping bella website www.stampingbella.com. We colored the image with our stampin'Up! markers to match the DP.

My kids made me laugh when they said - Ooh gross - they are kissing on that card mom!
LOL - kids say the cutest things!

Ihad a stamp club scheduled for feb-the weather here tends to be tricky in the winter so the only stamper that came this month was my friend Jaime. I knew she would make it over to stamp - even if there was a blizard outside! Thanks Jaime Jo! I can always count on her for some much needed stamping therepy!!! Any way - these are a few of the cards that we made for this month! I keep meaning to post more cards and scrapbook pages - but time just really gets away from me these days!
This first card of coarse uses the build a bear (of coarse!!!!) I ran the pink cs through a heart embossing folder with the big shot. The bear is cut with big shot too - using the SU! build a bear die - which is my FAVORITE!!!!!
Any way - this is a cute and easy valentine card.

I thought I was being so clever coming up with this little baseball build a bear for my scrapbook layout! It turns out that people are getting really creative with these bears and dressing them up on www.splitcoaststampers.com - but I really did come up with this one for the Sept build a bear night - Promise!!
I thought it was a cute idea b/c I am a cardinal nut - and b/c Cardinal baseball is so popular with my friends and fellow stampers! Anyway - #5 is for Pujols!!!

Build a bear birthday

I was trying to make a build a bear b-day card, but these bears are pretty big and pretty much take up the whole fron of a standard A2 card - so instead of adding a birthday hat like I had hoped I came up with birthday balloons! These little balloons are colored with a spica glitter pen for some bling - and popped up on dimensionals for a lttle depth. Dressing him up in designer paper was fun toooo!Cute huh?

Build a Bear Workshop

I have been having soooo much fun with these little bears and dressing them up!! I even had a stamp night based on the BAB workshop idea. This is the first card we made at the workshop. Everyone said how fun it was to dress these little bears up! I can't wait until this months stamp night b/c the Halloween/pumpkin die is on its way and we can play with that on the bears!!!!
This little bear is dressed up in designer paper/ and meant to be a birthday bear - but with the right sentiment it could be for just about any occasion.

I never posted my cute little card either! I swear - time just flies by!!!
The card I designed for the group uses the Build-A-Bear Sizzix die that is in the SU! mini catalog. I have had sooooo much fun dressing up this little bear that I had a Build-a-Bear stamp night for my stamp club. Those pics will follow tom. night!
Isn't she a cutie!!! Since the theme for our stamping get-together was birthday's I had to give the card a birthday feel. That is why she is holding a cupcake.
BTW - the bear is wearing the new colors in the SU catalog - Razzleberry and the background paper is the new color soft suede.

Sandy's card was the cutest little violin image that was colored and used lots of various colors to bring the image to life. She used fun flock on the image - which I have never used. This was fun to try!

I know it has been a while since I have posted any card pics - but things have just been crazy here since the move! We have settled down a little - but the kids are really keeping us hopping! Today the splitcoast stampers STL group got together at my house, and this was my mom's card for the group! (I actually created it for her to use b/c swhe was going to be late and I wanted the group to be able to get started on their cards. It uses the new butterfly punch for SU! which I love! Cute huh? The blue on the card is the new Baja breeze color from SU! too.

Happy birthday Alli!!!! This was the b-day card I made to take to our friends daughter Alli's bp-day party last weekend. I keep meaning to post it, but time keeps gettig away from me!! Anyway - this is the "jeepy girl" stamp from stamping bella.com. I have always loved the image - and bought it a while back - just haven't used it much. I used a new cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background strip. Jeepy girl is colored with love and prisma markers! Cute huh?!
It feels great to be back posting - now to keep stamping more stuff so I can keep posting!!!!

We made this card at last months stamp club for mothers day too - we had a couple of varieties. This was the card I wanted to give my mom for mothers day but couldn't find so I gave her the other one we made. This card uses java bella from stampingbella.com. We stamped her and then colored her in with SU markers. cute and simple - my favorite kind of card!

Sorry to have dissappeared! I got sucked into facebook - whew its addictive! Anyhway - I found these two cards I was searching for from the April stamp club and wanted to post something!
This first one was a Easter card using my favorite sock monkey SU set! I love the accessories set that you can order to use with this little cutie! Anyway we stamped and colored him in with close to cocoa and sahara sand markers. The easter ears were just tooooo cute! Happy Easter (belated Easter anyway!)

Ok - I could only find one of the mother's day cards we made at stamnp club - but I will keep looking for the bella coffee mother's day cards! This is a pic of the birthday invite dd passed out to the girl scouts for the sleepover tom. night. I loved this stamp from tidlywinkds (on stampingbella.com) the minute I saw it but I haven't used it much - had to dig it out of the boxes for the invite - hope you love it!

OK - it has been a crazy busy month since we moved!!!! I got a new job - yeah! and then we had DH's birthday, and then monday my dd's birthday. It has been NUTS! I did have stamp club last month though - even though I was pulling out card stock and stamp sets literally minutes before my friends came over!
I have a few pics of cards to show you from stamp club - and then I need to go to bed. DD has 6-10 6 and 7 year olds coming over tom. night for a birthday sleep over!!! Ahhh! Yep - I am crazy!
Anyway - these are the cards we made at stamp club - for mothers day, and a birthday card which I didn't get a pic of - I will make another with my left over pieces and post later!

Sorry it has been so long since my holiday post-but I have great news! The DH and I decided to put our house on the market after the holidays - and we have sold it!!!
Yipeeeee!!
Anyway - I got a new stampin and scrapping desk for christmas - but before I could take a pic we had to dis assemble it and clean up the basement to put the house up for sale! I am very excited about it - and can't wait to show you all!! I also have packed up my stamps and stuff to clean up the house for showing. Anyway - that is why I have been MIA! I miss my blogging sistahs!!

I promise as soon as we move and unpack I will be back and posting as soon as I can - we move at the end of this month - so I hope not to be missing for much longer!

Good evening!! I may have not been posting, due to lack of time, computer problems and blah blah blah - but that doesn't mean I haven't been stamping! Every time I go downstairs I tend to do more cleaning and looking for "something" than I do stamping. But I do have a few stamped items to share with my sistahs - as long as my camera can hold its charge!
This first post is a baby thank you card. My cousin K and her adorably funny hubby are expecting a little baby boy any day now! We had a baby shower for K a few weekends back and I didn't get to make the invites, so I took what was going to be the invites and turned them into a thank you pack for K to send out after the shower. These two pics are of the outside of the thank you's.
I got the idea from the STL stampede I attended in the spring - one of the stampers brouight us all the supplies to make a "onzie" baby card - I turned it into this and created them for K.
Cute huh?
